Sea Kayaking in Prince William Sound
Cycling enthusiasts can rent a bike and head up the coastal trail to Bird Point. Expect to see several views of Turnagain Arm as well as small waterfalls and trailside greenery along the way.
You may want to try walking or riding the shuttle to visit local shops,
restaurants and the art gallery. Be sure to visit Alyeska Resort and catch the tram ride up from the resort base 2000 feet to the top of the mountain. Enjoy a great place to have lunch or dinner and take in sweeping views of the mountains, glaciers and Turnagain Arm!
Within a half-hour drive of Girdwood, you can find yourself viewing wildlife at Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, enjoying the visitor center at Portage Glacier, or stepping onto a boat at nearby Whittier to explore Prince William Sound.
