Located on a quiet street in Girdwood, Northern Comfort offers a beautifully furnished, one-bedroom suite with a private entrance and tiled steam room and shower located on the first level of our home. There is a custom-designed kitchenette filled with various items to eat and drink at your leisure. Furnishings include a pillow-top queen bed along with a deluxe sleeper sofa, recliner, table and chairs, and entertainment armoire (cable tv, vcr, cd player), all which round out the living space and assure our guests of home-like comfort and ease.
Just 35 miles from Anchorage along scenic Turnagain Arm, Girdwood Valley reflects the quiet yet dramatic beauty one would expect to find in Alaska. Depending on the time of your visit, it’s not unusual to see at least one example of Alaskan wildlife on the drive from Anchorage (Dall sheep, beluga whales, bald eagles, coyotes, bear, and moose). Then prepare to enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Chugach Mountains hung with seven glaciers in the back valley when you arrive in Girdwood.
